Derby
Derby sits south of Wichita along the Arkansas River, with many homes built from the 1970s on and steady new construction. Expansive clay soil here moves with wet springs and dry summers, which shows up as cracked walls and sticking doors.

Andover
Andover, east of Wichita in Butler County, has grown quickly, with many newer homes on basements. Newer homes aren't immune: poorly compacted fill under a lot can settle in the first decade.

Maize
Maize, northwest of Wichita, has a mix of small-town homes and new subdivisions. Clay soils and flat lots that drain slowly put pressure on basement walls after heavy rain.

Haysville
Haysville, just south of Wichita, has many older homes, some with crawl spaces and some on slabs. Settling slabs and sagging floors over aging supports are common calls.
Haysville is in the City of Haysville in Sedgwick County.
Park City
Park City, north of Wichita along I-135, has many homes from the 1960s and 70s. Decades of seasonal soil movement show up as stair-step cracks and doors that drift out of square.
